Teaching Practice & Internship
Classroom learning is only one part of the B.Ed. programme. Every pupil-teacher also completes a structured practice-teaching schedule and a full school internship before graduating.
School Internship
Every B.Ed. student completes a 16-week internship in a school, part of the scheme set by DCRUST, Murthal, the university we're affiliated to. Real classroom teaching under the internship is the centrepiece of the programme: the practical training that turns coursework into classroom-ready skill.
Skill in Teaching
Each student chooses 2 pedagogic (methods-of-teaching) subjects, and builds up to real classroom teaching in structured stages in each:

That progression is deliberate: each stage builds the confidence and skill needed for the next.
School-Based Activities
Alongside teaching practice, every student prepares a file covering:
- Development of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in a pedagogic subject
- Development of learning material on a topic in a pedagogic subject
- A report on the school internship, covering the activities carried out during the stay in school
How You're Assessed
The two-year programme is marked out of 1450 (700 in Year I, 750 in Year II), split between continuous internal work and external evaluation depending on the kind of course:
Theory papers
20% continuous class work, 80% university examination.
Practicum courses
20% continuous class work, 80% practical evaluation.
Skill in Teaching (the two pedagogic subjects)
20% internal, 80% external, jointly evaluated by an internal (college) and an external (university-appointed) examiner together.
School-based activities (internship report and files)
A mix of internal and external evaluation, jointly assessed the same way as Skill in Teaching.
